I have some sort of compulsive never ending disturbing thoughts in my mind, and I would want to know if this method might be to some affect of curing it.
Everytime I get the thought, I pop my hand really hard with a rubber band , and do so for many months. Finally, if I get the thoughts after a while after I have removed the rubber band, I will think of the pain of the rubber band I used to pop my hand with, and it will make the thought go away.

The technique you're describing is known as thought stopping, commonly prescribed by psychologists and works by pairing the negative thought with a negative physical stimulus. If you were to think the word "STOP!" at the same time as popping the rubber band, it will augment the effect.
What also works is a reward for stopping yourself from thinking - listening to a favourite tune or doing something pleasurable, so that it completes the act. i don't know any but that's a good idea but you might want to have someone do it to you so you don't go tooooo easy on yourself! Ask a friend to hit you with a rubberband they'll love to do it
