Ingrown toenail problem!!?

I just saw my podiatrist yesterday to trim an ingrown toenail on my big toe. When he clipped it out I felt immediate relief and every thing felt fine. Now this morning I woke up and my toe was throbbing. I took off the band aid and that helped but it still hurts to walk on it! I dont know if there is another ingrown part that needs to be cut or if it is just sore because he had to cut down so far.Please help me!

Just for some history on me, (it might help) I have had toenail fungus for about 3 years now and I started seeing a podiatrist about a year ago and still see him. He is great and he put me on lamisil to cure the fungus, but now my nail is ingrown and I constantly have to go back to trim of the ingrown parts like I did yesterday. He mentioned i have a surgery which I am giong to do but we are leaving for the bahamas in about 2.5 weeks and he said that isnt long enough for my toe to heal from it and then go on a beach or public pool water.

I bet you have never had no guy kiss your feet. You probably don't have to wear shoes. You have talons.

I would give it a day or two and see if it feels better. Your toe may just be sore from where he cut out the ingrown toenail yesterday. Tomorrow is Friday, so if it is still hurting tomorrow then call the office and tell them. Maybe they can squeeze you in so you won't have to wait over the weekend with a sore toe.

i have just had an ingrown toenail operation yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!
well. to stop the throbbing keep your foot elevated and dont trim the nail!!!!!!!!!
not trimming the nail herts alot but that what your toe needs !!!!!
the nail needs to grow past the skin in order for it to heal!!!!!
and the surgery is the best thing it dosnt hurt compared to the pain of the ingrowth!!!!!!!!
-let it grow.
-trim it straight, not curved.
-get the operation and never pick you nails!!!!
-and keep your foot high so all the blood dosnt flow down to the toe, which in term makes it throb!!!!!!!!
and have fun at the bahamas!!!!!!!!
