The "statistics" that were used to "prove" this were among the least scientifically valid studies ever produced. They looked at the age of people whose deaths were reported in obituary columns of gay papers and decided they were decades younger than the average. But until recent years, with the AIDS crisis, gay papers didn't even have obituaries. And the question of sexual orientation is not reported on a death certificate. In truth, AIDS killed a lot of gay men in the last 20 years. But that's AIDS, not being gay. AIDS also killed a lot of Africans. But there are a lot of old Africans out there, as well as a lot of old gay men.

The success rate of "gay cures" is abysmal. It is an abusive, hyper-religious scam perpetrated by homophobic Christians. The causes of sexuality in general are unclear, but it is clear from studies in nature that homosexuality is entirely common among many species, including species of primates.

Uhh... Death to society as a goal... Not to my knowledge. Even Hitler wanted a Utopian society, not a dead one. Gay activists simply want a society where people are not persecuted or prosecuted for loving one another in the ways that they are capable.

Every body lives shorter lives. Heck just today I found out I'm at greater risk for type 2 diabetes and heart disease because I have short legs. (No kidding, it was on morning news show Good Morning America.)
Yeah, you probably can catch a blood infection (sepsis, I bet) from fecal matter, but women can get urinary tract infection just from wiping the wrong way. As long as the infection is bacterial there is a good chance it can be cured with antibiotics if caught in time.

The last one, GIVE ME A BREAK. I don't know how much of that is true. I do know I've had way more that 50 guys- 100s probably(yes Im a whore) but I've never caught anything. No thats a lie- I caught crabs once. I don't think it curable, and I've never heard of Gay Bowel Syn. I have heard that prostate cancer is much lower in gay males! I don't know why they mention bathhouses in that article. 95% of those places were shut down in the mid-1980's. Maybe back then gay men had a higher average of sexual partners, but I don't think that's the case anymore.
That article is nothing more than anti-gay propaganda. I know it's convenient for me to dismiss it as such since I'm a gay man, but absolutely none of that information pertains to me (or anyone I know), so that's how I feel about it.

It's scary alright. This is propaganda from the religious right. If this was said about any other group in society the Tomorrow's World people and writer of this article would be facing litigation for inciting hatred.
There is no such thing as gay bowel syndrome, just as there is no such thing as gay cancer. Gay people get diseases like other people. HIV (the virus that can lead to AIDS) is spread through infected semen, blood and breast milk. Yes it is true than in Western countries, epidemiologists first noticed high infections among certain 'risk groups', gay men and injecting drug users. In fact over 90% of infections globally are passed through heterosexual intercourse. In the UK most new infections are occuring in people under the age of 20, because they do not see themselves at risk.

Being gay is completely normal. A gay relative of mine turned 50 last year and is completely healthy with the only exception being diabetes.

When I was younger I prayed for hours every night for God to 'take these evil thoughts away from me'. Guess what? Never happened. I tried 'chosing' to not like guys. Guess what? They still turn me on.
A Christian friend of mine used to be a lesbian. When she became a Christian she was pressured by others to believe that it was sinful.. the only way she could think of to 'get right' was to marry a guy. So she did so. She told me it took her 8 YEARS for her to be comfortable with her husband in bed. Every time they had sex it felt like he was raping her.. not because he wasn't being gentle, but because she was a lesbian.
Does God want people to feel like they are being raped? No!
The whole 'ex-gay' thing is pretty much if not entirely a croc IMO. Look at all the scandals... all the people that said they were 'cured' and are now back living a gay lifestyle.. all the people that have killed themselves because of these types of programs.
The only thing you can 'chose' about your sexuality in this case is to abstain from it.. aka celibacy. I don't think that all homosexuals are called to celibacy. Yes, it is a calling.. and God will equip those that he calls to be able to successfully remain celibate. What I'm trying to say is, if you're not called to be celibate and attempt it anyway, you're most likely going to fail. And that's what you see time and time again.
If you look carefully at the original Greek and Hebrew I think it's very very very unlikely that Paul was condemning all homosexual activity. I don't know how you can get that from what was said, honestly. It was infinitely more likely, in my mind, that he was condemning pagan sex acts such as temple prostitution and sex slavery.

Looking through the Bible, you won't see any place that admonishes consensual, monogamous homosexual relationships. It's just not mentioned.
I wouldn't really consider myself a gay activist, but from all I know about that whole movement, the only thing they are trying to accomplish is promoting acceptance and love.
Nobody is saying that straight people should become gay or anything remotely like that. Rather, that people need to stop being self-loathing and live up who they really are, and that other people need to stop using religion as an excuse to mindlessly hate a huge people group.

Josh You are 430 times more likely to get Aids if you are a homosexual male. And, yes, homosexuals tend to be promiscious. I dont know about "Gay Bowel Syndrome" but it is likely, considering the anus is an elimination organ, and wasnt designed to be used to insert foreign objects in it. And, yes, inserting foreign objects into an organ not designed for it tends to introduce foreign bacteria into the bowels. |
