Hair growing back?

My hair grows extremely fast, but I've noticed that when people totally shave off their hair (visual aid: Vin Diesel) it takes longer to grow back? Maybe they are just constantly keeping it at that length? I don't know but I wanted to shave off all my hair this summer (while no one can see me) and get rid of my dandruff problem at the source, and cure all my split ends. (I am a guy but after awhile they annoy the manliest of us :o) so my question is:

does hair grow slower if you cut it completely off?

i dont think so becuz wen i cut my hair it grows faster then if i let it grow for a while. im sry i dont know wat to tell u <:)

no its not going to grow any slower

not really i just cut my hair in a mohawk, shaved sides, and i decided to grow it out a couple weeks ago and already its more than a cm long. ok yeah that doesnt really seem like a lot but it looks like a lot.

Sometime if you shave it with clippers or whatever, then use shaving cream and a razor it might take awhile to grow back.. My brother is only 34 years old and he is bald on top and has hair around the sides and back. He don't like it, so he shaves his head like that, and he says it don't grow back fast at all..
