A strictly medical question about my breasts?

only strictly medical answers please. my nipples are really sore. there's no way I could be pregnant I'm still a virgin. but they're very sore and nothing helps. I tried a lot of stuff and finally just put Campho-Phenique (to numb them) and band-aids on them. lousy solution but it kind of helps. also when i first put campho-phenique on one it burned for a few minutes. like a stinging as if it were an open cut or something.

any ideas on what it could be and how to cure it?

Women's breast tend to be very sore when they are ovulating in the middle of the month. But if it doesn't go away I would see a doctor. Also, I dont know how old you are, but if you are developing, that can cause them to hurt really bad.

That is just messed up. You're making me hurt just listening to you. Why are you on Yahoo? Go to the doctor. Are you allergic to your clothes? Have you tried NOT putting Campho-Phenique on your nips? Maybe baby powder to keep them from getting chafed? Take some pain medicine. Owch.

Seriously. you need to go see a shrink immediately for putting that crap on your breasts.

How old are you? You're probably going through a growth spurt. Try Advil.

you may want to talk to your doctor. I know alot of teens/ woman complain about sore nipples when their breast are growing or if they are wearing clothing that cause friction burns.

Make an appointment with your medical provider. It could be an underlying problem.

If you are going through puberty then it's caused by hormones. My daughter went through the same thing, took her to the Dr. & he said that it's just part of the cycle.

is it all the time or certain times of the year/month. Winter time if its cold for a long period of time it could cause soreness. Also around the time of your period you always will be sore. You can get more info here:

well your hormones are probablly the cause, they could be imbalanced or just flaring up, nipple sensitivity is normal around the time of your menstraul cycle, its is a severe problem i dont think i would be tryin anything to be safe you really should contact a doctor,

This used to happen to me (when I wore bras). It might be irritation from the type of material. I say let them puppies breath and wear something comfortable...

It could be an infection of the nipples for them to constantly itch like that. The reason the medicine burned when you put it on your breasts is because you probably had been sratching and you had open wounds and that does burn. You need to see your dr. ASAP and if it is an infection he will give you what you need to clear this up, possibly a cream or an antibiotic. Good Luck!

Depending on how old u are this one of many signs of puberty. Before a woman starts her menstruation...her nipples are sore to the touch. The best advice I can give it to see to go to the doctor ASAP...your condition may be more serious than u think and may cause more problems in the future.

in the niple...he does not like it....or else...so dont try to hard...he does not like you...are you trying to call the attention....here...wont you visit a nurse.

your breast must be growing or you are about to start your menstral period....usually that is when they are most sore...and I hope i helped...

are you young? are they growing?? could have dry skin on the nipples from them growing and therefor hurt when u put lotion on them... carefull what u put on things that sting,,,

i get these all the time...usually around a certain time of the month, um yeah they itch and sting and burn and everything under the sun right? i usually find that the fabric of your bra affects how irritated your nipples can get. you can also go to your obgyn and they can give you this lotion type stuff to rub on them...i usually use lotion on them, coconut butter. make sure it is non-scented..scents will irritate

you are wearing no bra with rough material? Otherwise, the nipples do get tender during phases of your period. Wear a slip if you are not wearing your bra, and use vasoline or mineral oil -- lotions tend to have esters that are irritating to already inflamed tissues. The bandaid idea will always work, just a nusiance.

It could be anything from hormones, a growth spurt, maybe they are 'chapped' or something is too tight and rubbing on you.

If it' is really bothering you, you could call your dr and see if he/she wants you to come in.

I work in a hospital and though I am not particlar in this area, I do know that you should see a doctor. I would stop putting anything on yourself without consulting a physician. You could be making things a lot worse. Do not hesitate in making an appointment. If you don't want to tell anyone, there are different medical facilities that will help you and it is confidential. Get out the phone book and make some phone calls to different dr's offices in your area. Who cares what they think? They'll never meet you, and atleast you'll have some sort of information as to what you should do. Also, you should get on google.com or a similar website and type in your symptoms. It's a start.

You know, sometimes a hormonal influx can cause this, and there really is not anything you can do. I would NOT put campho-phenique on them anymore, the burning sensation you are feeling is NOT normal, but then again it is not labled for this use. As far as Bandaids, I wouldn't put them there either, I am sorry, but really without a doctors say on this one, you should wait for the spike in hormones to go down. There is nothing else to do. Please go see a doctor.

It could be a rise in hormones, which stimulates the blood cells in mucous membranes. Depending upon your age, they could be simply GROWING! Please, do NOT put anything mentholated on your nipples! Yes, of course it stings. Is there any discharge? Have you change laundry detergents, recently? If you're just beginning to wear bathing suit tops, they can sometimes be more abrasive than the bras that you're accustomed to, and irritate your nipples, causing them to itch. Since it's Summer, here, I'm guessing - have you been going braless - such as after swimming, recently? Sometimes the fabric of your top can have the same efect as mentioned, regarding bathing suit top. Bandaids, in and of themselves, aren't a BAD idea, but you must choose type and size carefully. Removing them is when they become potentially problemmatic. Be sure to use baby oil, so as not to tear or damage the nipple or aeriola, when removing. Preferably, cover with a 2x2 gauze pad, after applying neosporin, bacetracin, etc. It'll stick. Then, put your bra on, as usual. If this does not resolve in a few days, it's worth a trip or call to the ob/gyn. I tend to think that all will be well, and that your are experiencing the desensitization process, as you are a virgin. They'll toughen up, and itch less and less with care. Be well.
