Homosexuality is NOT a disease and DOES NOT need to be cured!?

thats like saying being black is a diesease and needs to be cured just because they are a minority does not mean they are diseased. CANCER is a disease STDs are a dieseas AIDS is a disease! Hatred is a diease thats the only thing that needs to be cured here!( i am not homosexual but i sure as hell am sick of people being so judgemental and wrong)!!!!

Agreed. Sometime when someone is spouting off about homosexuals, ask them at exactly what point in their own life they decided to be a heterosexual. You get some interesting answers.

It is definitely not a disease. It is also not something you can change - i.e. not a choice. If I can't choose to stop being heterosexual (trust me, I can't), then no one can choose to stop being homosexual. That's just silliness.

Grow up, have a child, and have your teenage son come tell you that he's gay and is HIV positive. I think you'll change your mind.

So basically, what you are saying is that other people are less entitled to their opinion than you are to yours? Your way of thinking is the only way? Whether or not I am pro or anti gay shouldnt matter, but why is it that people will take up a cause for someone else, and try to force their opinions down the throats of others? If you are understanding to the plight of the gays, good for you. If the next guy (or girl) is uncomfortable with the idea of homosexuality, why do you care? People will have their likes and dislikes, and there is nothing you can do about it.

EVERYONE is judgemental in one way or another. It is what defines us. We identify people like us and we form relationships with them (its called friendship), we stay away from the people who we disagree with. Its normal, dont freak out about it.

I agree totally with this. I am a homosexual male and have known this since a very early age. As another respondent said, try asking the heterosexual people that think it is a life choice and can be changed, just ask them to change their sexual preference and see what kind of answer you get. I have done this and to a person they all have said that they could not change that aspect of their life if they wanted to. End of argument!!!!!!!!

If people don鈥檛 like a different opinion or a different life style, instead of just minding their own business, they find it necessary to try and fix something that鈥檚 not broken. I completely agree with you. If people don't like homosexuals then they don't have to marry one, but the bigotry that goes on is revolting. Even if it is a choice that's no excuse, that's like hating people for chosing to be Christian (what the difference? they're both lifestyles).

Being black is genetic. Being gay is not. Having darker skin tones is a genetic adaptation which allows the host to endure hotter, sun-drenched climates better than people with lighter skin and benefits the human species in that respect. Having a sexual attraction for a member of the same sex doesn't benefit the species in ANY way whatsoever.

As soon as people realize that homosexuality IS a choice, the sooner we can get on our way to making them realize that it's the WRONG choice.

I do not hate homosexuals. I hate homosexuality and its harmful affects on society.

Homosexuality is not a race. It's a choice of lifestyle. Like child molesting. People don't need to be compensated for their choice of lifestyle. It may not be a disease, but it needs to be cured.
