Sweating during sleep?

what is the cause of this? is there a cure? is it true that sweating during your sleep is a sign of aids?

well usually when you sweat in your sleep you are getting sick or your immune system is trying to fight things off. i mean there are other causes for sleep sweats but being or getting sick is the biggest cause. you may want to go see a doctor.

You can sweat in your sleep because you have
a) the heating on too high
b) horrible synthetic or partial cotton mix fibre bedding/nightwear
c) you have SOME sort of infection - anything from a mild virus onwards. Are you a candidate for any bugs going round? This is the likely problem if no to all the above...
No, it doesn't indicate AIDS, which would also be indicated by other symptoms, but if it is severe you should see your dr.
NB: menopause can do this too, as can PMS and menstruation. And large amounts of certain spices.

Sweating during sleep can be a sign of illness but most likely your body temperature is simply rising due to temperature in the room or nocturnal hyperhidrosis.

Hyperhidrosis is the excessive or spontaneous sweating that results regardless of temperature.

Aids is probably the least likely cause but yes, that can be a symptom. There are a million other reasons why you're sweating at night. Don't jump to such a hasty conclusion. That's like getting a nosebleed and immediately assuming you have a terminal illness. It's hypocondria.
