Indian politician answer my question ?

can we use tobacco tax money and money paid by bars to fight lung cancer and to cure alcholism ? and tax paid by prostitutes to fight AIDS ? come on, answer my question ?

Your suggestion is very good but the taxes we collect on any of these i.e. the first two by way of excises duty get collected & deposited in the consolidated fund from where it get distributed for various government expenditure. For getting the total amount collected in such taxes by the government & spending it only on the purpose of the things you suggested can be worked out. The only problem lies with the third type of tax which you suggest i.e. tax paid by prostitutes as such there is no such tax imposed on this profession as this is profession is considered as illegal & against the public policy. Buy imposing tax on prostitution indirectly we'll be legalizing this profession, this is a debatable issue for the society , specially amongst social & legal organization first dealing with such profession, any unilateral action by government legalizing this profession will have retroactive effect on the society hence it requires lots of public opinion in its favor. Go ahead with such social debate; let鈥檚 see what results we get out of it.

My answer is No. A politician's answer will be 'Yes'.Their action belittle their speech.

Easy.
The taxes we receive on Tobacco sales are too meagre to cure Lung caner cases.
The taxes that we collect on alcohol are too and too meagre to treat our alcohol related diseases.
The Money that we pay to fight aids are far less than the taxes paid by the prostitutes et al.
It is the money that average indian pays for making a decent living is used by the government to combat alcoholism, smoking related diseases and AIDS

i think tax money can develop infrastructure, which will create growth, which will eradicate poverty and make this a better society
