I'm a 14 year old boy...I'm confused, my science teacher or the priest? |
My science teacher said that we evolve from some sort of a Ape , and the adaptation , survival , facing natures severity learning skills and love to the children has bring us to this stage. My friend who was a born again christian told me that we are made from clay balls, and a priest told me that we are from Adam and eve, the world is made in six days..god made us from dust... I feel like its better to study the easy way. So I can just simply write the bible content to my science exam. The god is poerfull and he made the world in 6days . end of story!!! But . . trust me ,, I'm a 15 year old cute boy ... Religion sucks, science rules. i evolved from sporns Write bible content on your science test and you will fail your test. If you are a 14 yr old boy. You might wanna stay away from the priest. if you know what I mean. Well, you can do both. Maybe evolution was a mechanical of God, and the Bible is metaphorical. There are plenty of people working in fields like medicine or physics who are Christian, and they manage to do their jobs well. God is science. I'm a robot made of meat. your science teacher is right Might I suggest spell check? Then, get your 14 year old self to bed! You need to follow the evidance not man made stories that can not be proven to be real! The Pasters of high denomination of Christianity declared that there are 50,000 errors in Holy Bible. This is the time for you to start deciding for yourself what you believe. Research both sides. You have your whole life ahead of you. This wouldn't be the first time in your life that you'll be forced to compromise your religious beliefs in order to receive gainful employment. and what did the ape evolve from huh, slime? This is a tricky situation, one that schools and religious organizations all over the world are addressing. One way I know some people to approach it is to imagine that perhaps a "day" to God could be any number of millions of years, and that the representation in the bible of creation, though not false, is a romanticized way of iterating God's creation of the earth to the then-ignorant masses. This approach opens up many cans of worms for fundamental religious people and fundamental scientists alike, but it's something to think about. You might also do some research on "Intelligent Design" if you want to explore another option. Look at it like this. The science teacher is teaching you a theory and your exams are how well you understand that theory and not necessarily how well you understand the truth. Don't put down the info about God becuase God's story isn't about the theory you're learning about and you won't pass that exam. you don't have to believe that humans came from apes to research science. The theories of our origins has little to do with cancer or aids research. The basis of genetic research is on micro-evolution, which has to do with mutations in genes, but not 1 species becoming another. There is no simple answer to this question, what do you believe? You should weigh the facts you are presented with and come to your own conclusion. No one can answer this for you. Whatever you believe is fine, don't take others word for it, noone on earth knows the complete truth we only know what we beleive to be true. No mater what side you are on there are questions that remain unanswered, this is part of the fun in life, the search for truth. Whether you search for it using science or theology, we are all looking for the answer. Both are wrong. Science and organized religion sucks! I suggest finding meaning to god and the universe on your own. Try meditation or enthegenic substances. I would look more into eastern philosphy over western ones like christanity. God did not create anything...time is illusion. You seem stuck in the middle of two evils. Just remember know one knows true meaning...no matter how much your science teacher or priest say they do ~ First of all, Thomas... I don't think your a 14 year old boy... [I've read some of your other answers] First of all... the "creationists" take the first part of the creation story too literally. Priest...if you read into that theory you'll find that theres really not enough proof for that craphole idea. The priest must not have heard that conservative Pope John Paul II proclaimed evolution to be fact. The bible is truth in the way ancients saw it. It gave them their moral base. They didn't think so much about the literal letter by letter truth. Your science teacher is wrong in teaching evolution. And your priest is also wrong in teaching things that are not in the Bible. Intelligent and confusing boy, don't worry. Your teacher knows something, your priest knows something, your mother knows something, your friend knows something, I know something...Our knowledge is partial and fallible, so you cannot trust anyone among us or among other human beings. I cannot deny neranderthal in my understanding of evolution. Pinnacle of creation though, a human being, stands upright, has a brain, and has hands. Reality demands we exist, if we all went extinct, I think even earth and water would morph into the next upright being at another time. I would say, don't rest it on anything. Take what you want from both. Toxic poisons and the blood of animals don't belong in or on people. How to purge these people of their torment? Prayer will bring you to your own peace. If you can master some kind of blood vibration power prayer maybe you are the one who can heal on touch. Well, the Priest's theory is easiest and requires little processing. God is powerful and PRESTO, We have a world and people. Science teachers are a little different, they deal in theories that are supported by evidence. At your age, I don't think the Science teacher cares so much about what you believe as much as he or she cares that you can explain a process such as evolution and the arguments that support it. Later on, when you get into High School and College, you will be able to argue such theories but when you do this, you will have to be able to support your arguments. Avoid spending too much time with the Priest. Next time you might find your pants down around your ankles. SICK MY DUCK J/K start studing concept of god in main religion then decied God Made Us..... I have indeed been in National Service in Finland. It is 6 months for regulars, and 12 for officers and under-officers (sergeants and the like). It's not pleasant, but perhaps the USA nationa... The world loves to put us in square boxes, square houses, square blocks of land. We have been trained not to seek outside the box. One cure one does not cure all. We are all individually beautifull... It can in some cases. it depends on the state in which the disease is in. there are some simple exercises with medication that can have positive effects. but im sorry to tell you that yes hearing l... no, believe he's going out a loser ...We have a scary situation on our hands! We have an Administration which is the absolute worst in my memory. I was born when Calvin Coolidge was President, and I have survived some Administrations ... We have a whole host of issues to seek solutions with in America, and, we have become polorized to a fault and have become insensitive to real issues that should concern every american. ... |
