Catholics: If belief in God does not require proof, but faith...?

Why then does the beatification and sanctification of martyrs require evidence of their miracles in order to be recognized?

Aren't the Catholic authorities demanding "compelling evidence" of these deeds?

If I go to Vatican and tell the pope my dead cat cured me of AIDS, will the Pope use his FAITH and so he'll sanctify my cat?

Or will he DEMAND PROOF?

faith is for the faithful (followers), the leaders use Aristotelian logic and reason, they know they are elite thinkers, and think, that the faithful are not interested nor will be mature enough to be concerned with the philosophy of god. In other words, they think you and I are to stupid to understand higher levels of abstract ideas. We would rather follow the final four. But in my opinion lowering the bar itself doesn't help.

God and people (or cats) aren't the same thing.
Compelling evidence is required from people. (and pets)

As long as you have proof.

Proof is a complex word. There is a legal meaning to the word, and there is a scientific meaning to the word. There is also a religious meaning of the word, which has a far different standard for evidence.

I'm catholic, and I don't believe in ordaining, worshiping or praying to man that people vote on and call saints. I don't believe in worshiping or praying to saints, popes, disciples, the virgin Mary. I believe in worshiping Jesus Christ. I do not belief in some of the catholics man made rules....priest not marrying, eating fish on fridays and some of the seven sacraments: reconciliation confessing my sins to priest in order to talk to God.
