Should this man be rewarded or punished?

Lets say this man invented a cure for cancer and AIDS, saving hundreds of millions of lives.

He then won the nobel peace prize for resolving all war in the Middle East.

Then lets say he provided voluntary service to his country for 25 years.

He also made sure hundreds of thousands of abandoned unwanted children were taken to families that care.

Then last but not least, he took out a rifle gun and killed 3 people for no apparent reason, and showed no remorse.

Should this guy be punished AND rewarded, face life in prison, death penalty, or pardoned, or what????

Looking for simple answer to a complex question. Wouldn't you want to know why such a person killed the 3 people before you decided? Imagine if it turned out that those 3 people had killed his wife or daughter? What if you discovered that the man had become mentally ill? You know our judicial system is set up to take into account mitigating factors.

Punished
and go see a shrink.
Just cause he did all those good things doesn't justify the random deaths of those people.

Yes...hes goin down.........all the good he did is still evident but he committed a crime and would be held accountable just as you or I would............that's the way its gotta be.

Killing someone is illegal, and should be punished according to the law.

Recognize both his achievements and failings.

I guess you would need to look and find what caused him to shoot people.

One such man forget what town, he shot people from a campus tower I believe.

On autopsy he was found to have a brain tumor

Responsibility for ones actions does not have a 'good Samaritan clause'.

punished, he would be a murderer at that point.

I would put him to death cuz sounds like something the Anti Christ would do, but if he was the Anti Christ nobody would know about him killing those 3 people.

Yes - both.
Otherwise if I wanted to murder somebody I could do a good deed first just to counter the effect of the bad deed.

That this man gave life to some people, he saved some from war and abandonment. that doesn't mean he should also kill people.

therefore he should be punished.

He should definitly be punished. Just because he did all those good deeds doesn't mean he gets a free "get out of jail card"... he committed a crime.

THE DEATH PENALTY !
