Why do people think they can buy happiness in a medicine bottle?

In America at least, everybody thinks that pills are the cure for everything. We buy tylenol gelcaps for headaches--what do they work faster because they are gel tabs? We can't control our kids so we give them aderall. We are unhappy so we take zoloft. We can't sleep so we take ambien. We don't have communities ad support groups anymore, we have orange bottles that rattle and jingle, with gold inside that numbs us to stupidity. We try to cure ridiculous things with a million different brands, how many pain reliever brands are there? You think they could have put some of that money into curing cancer, or aids?

About 30% abuse their medications, but the rest need their medication for their diseases!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We put billions of dollars for aids and cancer.
The bottom line is that people take medication because they NEED it and will help them tremondously.
