first, I want you to tell me what you thought of it, and second, what is that man in real life who goes around with signs and supporters saying: "God hates f a g s", and "AIDS is a cure for f a g s". what is his name because i want to look this fu cker up. As a gay teenager, I was very offended and i cried when he showed up in the movie. There were also protestors in the tv movie A Girl Like Me: the Gwen Araujo Story.

Fred Phelps hes a a rascist homophobic Jackass I cryed soo much when I saw the play and the movie and When Judy Shepard came to speak at my university I cryed alot esp when she was reading matt's dads speach and showed her video omg it was heart breaking even my mom cryed so did my dad

Sad stories but as long as we have homophobes around this will happen. Until it happens to a friend or family of there's. HATE is sooooo wrong!!!!

I just posted a question today regarding the Gwen Araujo story. I watched it last night for the first time.
Those protesters are nothing more than bigoted, ignorant, cowards. They are so extreme in their beliefs that they leave no room for anybody else's views or feelings. God doesn't hate anyone. If you are a true Christian then you know God is love.
In the Gwen Araujo story(or at least as it was portrayed on Lifetime) there were just as many supporters as there were protesters. That was heart warming I thought.

I understand that he hurt you. He hurt Matt Shepard's family and friends too. But hurting him in response will only give the other side a martyr. Don't do it, don't even think it. He does more damage to his own side than he does to ours.

You know, as an older gay person --57...I have come to feel that people like him have done more to unify us than anyone else. If it weren't for the Anita Bryants of this world we may never have had an example of the bigotry that is out there..these people are valuable assets to us...because most people are not stupid and realize the stupidity of what they are seeing. They give us a cause to rally and support ourselves. (even though I think they are a bunch of f****** bast****).
