Can pastors perform or lead to the performance of miracles?

In crusades worldwide there is a special time reserved for miracles where the sick are cured. HIV/AIDS , blindness , cancer and other ailments vanish on stage. Is that true and possible?
It is said that a person must have belief before being cured. Many staunch Christians and pastors have died of diseases. What would'nt the sick in hospital give to be cured? People will flock to Christianity in droves if this was true. But none of this has happened.
Why not?
Are this miracles of God or tricks to obtain funds?

Most of the cases are doubtful at best and mere charlatanism at worst. However, there are many other miraculous healings that do occur. They are harder to document because they fall into the context of happening as signs that accompany missionaries or as healings that God performs for some special reason that only He knows the ultimate purpose of.

A religious person who goes on the road with a big showy entourage and whose main focus is him or herself and the getting of money is spoken of by the Holy Spirit through Peter in this passage.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Notice that the way of truth will be "evil spoken of". Now think about some of the charlatans that are on TV that make a laughingstock of Christianity but who somehow are able to dupe gullible people week after week into coming to them for healing instead of God.

God isn't interested in glorifying some preacher. He's interested in his glory.

Isaiah 48:11 For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.
