To Christians that do not support stem cell research...?

If I could offer you a one hundred percent guarantee that stem cell research could lead to a cure of AIDS, cancer, AND one thus far incurable disease of your choice, would you still remain against stem cell research?

In your answer, please state whether or not you've had loved ones die of thus far incurable diseases.

Also, to anyone that says that my question is void because my situation would never occur; I could never give you a guarantee, please don't answer. I've heard that before, and quite frankly I don't care to hear it again. If you're not going to answer the question that I clearly asked, don't answer at all. Thank you.

You misunderstand our objection. We support (most of us) stem cell research. We object to embryonic stem cell research, because it destroys a human life.

Sacrificing a human life to benefit another (when the one sacrificed has no say) is reprehensible. (At least it used to be.)

i mean the kind of stem cell research where they take a sample of the umblilical cord and keep it. i don't mean the kind where they murder the innocent baby

All the reasurch with human stem cells that actually ARE taken from fetus are taken from the ones that are getting thrown away.... they arn't making them for study....

Murdering babies to experiment with brains is sick. Selling baby brains would increase abortion clinic profits though and they are contributers to the demoncratic party so when Obabamama becomes president I'm sure they'll be able to sell baby brains again.

Many are afraid that this research would lead to an increase in aborted fetuses, simply for the purpose of stem cell research. This can be a very slippery slope. At what point do you have to decide should we just because we can. Does the end justify the means?

I have just begun to learn about stemcells. I have also discovered that it believed that my permanent disability can be cured and restore 100% of function with no side effects. Even if I weren't in my position,I say if it cures do it! I don't want to be on disability the rest of my life. I want my life back. Unfortunately I have to fly out of the country if I want to receive treament. That to me is very sad. Sorry I didn't stick to answering your exact question, I just wanted to say that.

Stem cell research has been very successful when the cells are harvested from adults, but embryonic stem cells have not had much success for the scientists. So why use them? Plus abortion is murder. I will never support it.

reverse engineering...why not look for prevention??

why not stop the behavior that causes? why not eat healthy and not eat garbage that is full of chemicals, pesticides, etc. that make a person sick?

I have worked in care facilities and cared for people in the end stages of these diseases that could have been avoid 20 years ago if they had not lead a certain live style and eating habits...


the drug manufacturer companies must have the all mighty $$, eating healthy to prevent disease is not cost effective...
