Why do South African politicians conduct themselves like animals in the zoo?

Diesel brought up a salient point; that he was offended about the use of the word 'baboons' in reference to a delegation of South African officials that displayed extremely bad manners by keeping a delegation of FIFA officials waiting for over an hour.
Fair enough.
However, that name-calling would not have been necessary if South African politicians and officials conducted themselves like human beings, instead of like wild animals, like our old buddy, the former health minister, Tshabalala-Msimang, who was barefooted when she told a fellow flyer on an international flight to 'F' off when he critiqued her use of vampire medicines (garlic and beetroot) as a cure for AIDS.

It doesn't help, either, that South African politicians tell law abiding citizens to leave the country in response to critique about the crime that is destroying the society, whilst the criminal government sits idly by and lets it happen.

Because the words 'responsibility' and 'accountability' are not in their vocabularies. Neither is half the English language for that matter.
