If, by some miracle before the end of October, Bush's government managed to: end the war in Iraq leaving a viable democracy in control; brokered a lasting peace between Israel and the rest of the Middle East; ended the terrorist threat peacefully; brought unemployment down to near zero; solved the immigrant problem; helped to create a world respected United Nations; came up with an inexpensive alternate non-polluting fuel; peacefully ended the North Korean crisis; aided Iran in their nuclear power program while assuring no nukes were being made; found a cure for Aids; and ended world hunger... would you still vote Democrat?

I have never voted democrat. I voted for Bush in both elections and if he could run again, He would have my vote again. A lot of what you listed is happening. The unemployment rate is way down, the economy is higher than it has been in a long time, the immigration problem is in the works of being solved. We have more of our hard earned dollars in our pockets due to tax cuts. I think we should honestly sever any ties we have with the UN because they are worthless and spinless. Still I think when Bush does all that people will still hate him and I will have no clue why. I still dont know why. People who say it is an oil war are retarded because if this was an oil war (which it isn't) i honestly believe that our ties with oil in Middle East would have been cut along time ago. Clinton is the forerunner in the demo party, but they know she is not electable. Ergo, perhaps they will push Al Gore. I suspect some unknown or somewhat visible candidate will be trotted out for the repubs. However, status quo. The demos and repubs are in lock step together in essentials. There was a cover-up about what caused the Twin Towers to fall on 9/11. It is clear from videos of the collapse that it was not airplanes that caused the buildings to fall. The only reason so many people believe it was the airplanes is that they were so shocked by the unthinkable events of that morning that they grabbed at the first possible answer: Clearly the two airplanes that slammed into the skyscrapers were sent by terrorists, so it must have been the airplanes that destroyed the buildings.

And they continue to believe it was the airplanes that destroyed the buildings because that is the theory put forth by the Bush gov't. Just look at the way those towers fell; each tower's 47 steel columns would have had to fail at the same time, and within ten seconds each column would have had to shatter into 30 or 40 pieces for the collapse to happen that way. How could airplane impacts near the top bring that about?

Bush surely must know there's more to the story, at least if he wants to know. If he does not want to know, that is a problem in itself.

Bottom line: Bush is, at the very least, covering up something important in what is the defining issue of our time.

I wouldn't vote for anyone associated with Bush if life in the US became perfect.

That would be nice if his administration did all of that. As far as how I will vote in the next election, I always choose my candidates by what they stand for, rather than what party they are affiliated with.

Ditto for AMULEK1978. A couple of the others' comments ,at least, must be challenged. Near full employment would be a step backward. We must always have some unemployment or we are stagnant. Innovation and entrepreneurship cause some unemployment and that is good! Secondly, we had a "common" man by the name of Jimmy Carter a few years back and what a disaster! He was a good, kind, intelligent man but not a savy or effective president.
I do believe that George Busch is a good president! Look at what he inherited from the previous administration! (How many attacks by the terrorists did we suffer from all over the world with nothing being done about it)?
My parents were Democrats but they didn't understand what brought us out of the "Great Depression". It was world War ll, not the welfare programs that F D R initiated, (and many are still with us), including the R E A and the T V A, which long ago outlived their usefulness.
