Any suggestions??????????

I am an international student who is being considered for a scholarship from the government of my country. My intended major is Anthropology but the ministry within the gov't who is considering me is intrigued by the issue of AIDS. Is there any way i can link Anthroplogy to the study of AIDS or the development of a cure for AIDS?

Do u think that this is a viable inference; that by better studying peoples culture one can come up with more effective ways to promote the awareness of AIDS?

Yes! one reason of spread of aids is the perverted way of thinking of most people around the world.if anthropology is aform of science that deals with the study of human ways/culture or .... dont tell directly its link to spread of std's like aids,say a positive and constructive views on how people will understand the nature of health problems that may help people live healthy in the millenium age.

With studying anthropology your going to study the people and depending on where you are, the topic of AIDS may come up.

you could try something like the history and developement of AIDS...

For gov purposes? Ofcourse.

Write about evolution - viruses, bacteria, monkeys, humans.

Development of viruses.
Development of humans.

Since viruses don't have a cure since long time - may be there are evolutionary answers .. extend on that.

The similarities in how HIV and the Black Plague affected humans (with both diseases seeming to be kept at bay without medication by some people with similar euro ethnic backgrounds) and how medicine and science today is changing the course of a similar disease.

I would go to a college that alows you to major in that specific major.
