Pro life or pro choice? How about pro educating and pro preventing?

We will always be in reactive mode, unless we will prevent issues from occurring period.

Death sentence vs. life in prison, how about preventing crime? Preventing accidental teenage pregnancy?

Why do politicians spend so much time on after fact issues? Because it is easier to put a Band-Aid than cure disease?

I agree. There is a middle ground on this issue: PREVENTION and EDUCATION.
But polarization is what butters every politicians' and activist groups' bread.

We have been trying to educate and prevent all that stuff for a long time but unfortunately it hasn't worked that much. In the meantime, we still need to use band-aids while we find the cure.

I believe in sex after marriage, which was great 50 years ago. Now that human rights have had their way, we live in a feel good society that doesn't believe in correcting children. We don't teach about consequences anymore.

So...with that said... I am pro-life and pro-education. Girls should know the facts and why it is good to wait till marriage. Sexual diseases, pregnancy, emotional problems. These should all be discussed.

A young lady I know actually didn't know you could get preg from your first sexual encounter. She of course got pregnant. I blame her parents for this ignorance. She made a mistake and paid the price. She now has a beautiful happy healthy little girl that is so precious.

My cousin (who's not Christian) became preg. out of wedlock and ALL her friends told her to have an abortion. Like, oh it's no big deal...you don't want that burden. These pro-choice people weren't there to support her when she "choose" to keep the baby. Only one person came to her shower. It was our family that helped her thru it.

Anyways...that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

We are the "after the fact" country. They would rather push abstinence than face the reality that teenagers are going to "do It". They would rather put an addict or a mentally ill person behind bars than find the help they need. And on and on and on.

That would require being pro active and not just shooting off your mouth one way or the other.

For pro active social programs to work first you would have to first break the cycle of self absorption and greed..

Everything is pro choice. Your own. Everyone knows what causes pregnancy and most people at a very early age know right from wrong. Education and prevention accomplishes what? Billions have been spent on this over the years and I don't see it has helped at all.

I am a conservative. I am pro life and also pro death penalty. How can I be both?

The difference is that convicted criminals have had the opportunity to lead a productive life in society. They chose to stray and commit crimes.

A baby does not have that opportunity. Therefore, in my eyes, it is murder.

You will never prevent crime. Refer to the Holy Bible.

You will also never prevent teenage pregnancies, especially with the decline of morales in our society.
