Crime? why should criminals be treated with kid gloves? they should be punished for their crimes not rewarded?

South Africa has a crime problem Murder, rape( including infants they beleve that sex with an infant cures AIDS), theft, hijacking, mugging and all the rest. Criminals are put in jail (maybe overcrowded) fed, clothed, TV, gym, health care, etc,
On the street a lot of them live out of garbage cans their lot improves so it is no hardship to be arrested I thing a lot of them turn initialy to crime for this reason.
The only way to stop this crime wave is to punish
Bring back the death penalty for murder
Bring back the cane for violent crime
Establish work farms so that the criminals can provide the bulk of the food for prisons, we certainly have the land requirements Teach them basic trades and use them to maintain prison buildings and services.
Why should the tax payer be burdened with taxes to support those who commit crimes against them

I totally agree and especially for the career criminals. Why are prisons so luxurious nowadays? There should be no TV, air conditioning, food, other than bread and water. They should be punished for being criminals. It's almost as if they are being rewarded.

I think that the same should be true everywhere. Violent and repeat offenders should do hard labor.

If every crime is punished severely then everyone would be in jail.

I know plenty of people in the US who commit crimes & get rewarded for them. I HATE it!

It's where you have chosen to live, The people there have to want to change their system, Don't ask others to solve your problems. especially the ones you created.

Check out the Maricopa County, AZ Sheriff. He's right up your alley. He's formed chain gangs, makes inmates eat green bologna and wear pink underclothes. He's great!!

oh wait it does people are animals and the sick ones will always do things that are sick. When rabid a dog bites a man you got to put him down. Start putting them down and not re-releasing them till they kill someone you love.

We in the US need to revisit our definition of cruel and unusual. I wouldn't call it cruel or unusual to execute all the tons of prisoners on deathrow asap. Why are they allowed to live so long after being convicted??
