Why are we speding so much of americas time and money on iraq's freedom?

Shouldn't we be focusing more on our on problems here in the usa. such as global warming, us finding an alternate fuil source, and curing aids.

You have to know what freedom really means in the geopolitcal great games being played. It's so they can be freed of their natural resources and freed from control over their real estate, of course. Why? So the whole Middle East energy corridor can freed to eventually be under the control of the West. That's the freedom being fought for. Control the energy, and you control all business of the world. To control you can either do it yourself or have your puppet governments do it, whichever works.

Want to know what's going on with the world's food? It's the other shoe that hasn't yet dropped into the consciousness of most people. Control the food, and you control the governments of the world.

I think if bands like Led zepplin And U2 had it in ther hearts, And went on a tour around the world ( Seeing how they have enough money. ) They could raise enough money to spend on Everything ! espiscally Led zepplin. They'd make millions and we can research and create machines to help with global warming. We'd have enough money to cure Aids and Cancer. just Open your mind to it and see how much money we could raise if they just did that.

Iraq (and others) seem to dislike us (united states) to a fault. It may be because we have it so good and they have it......well terrible. Because of this hatred they seem to have, they are willing to kill themselves to harm us. (sounds like schoolyard bullies doesn't it?).
They actually believe they will be rewarded for their suicide sacrifice. 72 virgins and all aside, they still wipe their bottoms
with their hands. Perhaps they are mad because we have all the Charmin??????????? No matter what the reasons, they are willing to come to our country to extinguish a few of us to get a free ticket to be with their Allah.

I know we will not change much with what we ARE doing in Iraq, but we have to start somewhere.
If it makes a difference 50 years from now......it will have been worth it.

As the saying goes "You broke it, you pay for it", Bush broke it, now we have to pay for it! Invading Iraq has opened up a Pandora's box that we cannot walk away from, doing so would leave the Country to terrorists, and then the World would really have a problem. We now have to look at and deal with the consequences of what we have done!

Decision-making in Washington DC is made solely on input from lobbyists. Evaluate what little country in the Middle East has direct access to our government and dual-citizenship for its citizens. There's your answer.

America used to be pretty rich selling weapons. But now America wants to make weapons that we would not trust even the UK to have.

China will become the leader in weapons manufacturing because they have manufacturing capabilities and no lobbyists.

Wal-Mart is all Americans can hope for.

If we gave a crap about Iraqi freedom we would be rebuilding it for free. As for the rest of your question, i believe there are solutions out there already, a cure for Aids is probably stored in the back of a fridge somewhere, fuel technology has already advanced far enough to be able to run your motor on used vegetable oil and as for global warming... well, when we start choking on it and coughing up blood maybe someone somewhere will stand up and say "hey this has gone on long enough " until then i wouldn't hold my breath. (No pun intended)

I agree whole heatedly. We should be focusing on our own people. Because if we were better prepared as a country and had better educated children and more worthy and loyal citizens than all of those stupid political issues would fall into place. I believe that the reason our government focuses on foreign country's (in theory) is 1) pure greed. They think that we need the money that may be or possibly be generated from those other country's. But more so, I think that they are just trying to assure allies out of those we think we help. Because someday we may need these allies, these new Army's of men to fight in our stupid wars against those who dont conform to our ways, and views.
