Would you want to get medical help and seek a cure if your sexual orientation was influenced by chemicals?

Modern research seems to indicate that sexual orientation can be proven to be influenced by variables other than choice and this gives future justification and validation for equal civil rights and freedom from demonization of part of our culture. However, on the otherhand, If, as some growing research indicates you came to find that your sexual orientation was to a greater or lesser degree determined by unnatural chemicals and not part of random evolutionary genetics, as would be the case for others now and in the past, would you seek more information? Would you seek medical advice? Would you open your mind to the new discoveries of science or stay in the social status quo of your community because it was comfortable?

scientist have come up with about ten or so different possibilities for what courses gender dysteria and homosexuality
some say it is hormones while in the worm
other say it is chemical in the same matter
some say it is the fathers defective sperm
other say it is the mothers inference while the child is just born
other while the child has grown up the environment the grew up in
not having a male role model
bulling at school
rebellion toward the gender roles
it is just a mental disorder
brains are different sizes and lose transgenders have a size the same as the other sex ......

i can go on

believe what ever you want to
many disbelieves can hurt of kill you if you believe them
a study will come out and might look at a few people or a lot but they can not fix it as yet so when they do it is up to you weather it is right or wrong to fix it
i say it is not

At one point in time, I would have leaped towards such a 'cure.' But now, because I have come to accept who and what I am and learned to deal with it... I see altering it as being akin to suicide. It would essentially just be killing me and replacing me with someone else.

And I'd need a hell of a better reason than 'social conformity' to opt for that.
