"South Africa"?

Is it true that South Africa is not a safe place to stay? I have heard its the blacks vs the whites. A lot of the whites have farms and I have heard blacks will kill whites for something as simple as a loaf of bread? Also to cure aids, to take the virginity of white girls (no matter the age) These are just some of the things I have heard and would like to know the truth. Just in case I ever decide to visit there because I think it is a very beautiful country.

Definitely the blacks vs whites things are exist.

I've been there, but I didn't see or had dangerous time(unless you do something stupid). and didn't feel a tension between them.
And It is such a beautiful country and ppl are nice.


It is a pity that recently South Africa is suffering with ignorant "new" government ppl. They decided not to have border cuz "new" goverment think it is such a dangerous thing to have for illegal immigrants. They will got killed when they try to come on over illegaly to this safe and beautiful ountry for work. OOPS! let's not have border for them. Whole Africa should be free to come and go. WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!!!!!
These ppl are became dangerous. Making all kind of probelms and also one of these guy try to be cured by virgin girl. And they desperatly need bread so they had to kill someone who has bread.... etc.

South Africa used to be safe country. Not anymore. Because of "new" wonderful goverment ppl. I don't want to be racist. But this "new" ppl are not caucasians. They just taking their "rights" from caucasians recently and don't know how to handle the country.

For example, when I was there, entire country's elecrocity power was cut down for few hours for several days even they DO have atomic power generator. They just take over tehir "rights" from caucasions but don't know how to handle it. But they are happy cuz they take over their "rights".

It shoulden't be black vs white thing. but it looks like black vs white things going on this country.

I do care about this country that is why my answer getting long.

So many ppl think Mandela is a great man. lol bul*****!. He has done so many bad things with that great title he has.

i lived in south africa 6 years during apartied and it was a freindly place and then usa pressure changed that put a black tribal old terrorist in power whom i shared a jail with by the way mandella was a long at the mouth i remember when i fought the white with bombs he,d say but now winnie has the press on my side because ive been in so long whites think if we stay locked up then we forget but we will not forget my freind we will not forget .well mr mandella i bow to you YOU WHERE RIGHT THEY FOGOT ALL ABOUT YOUR TERROR CONVICTIONS

As horrible as apartheid was, it was nothing like the mess these links show. True blacks were discriminated against and denied the political process, but they were never hunted like rabbits or had infants rapred fo some rediculous superstition of healing AIDS. i live in South Africa, I love this place, yeah we have crime, but what country doesnt. You will be fine to visit, just keep your eyes open. We have so much to offer tourists, South Africa is a must see country, we have such a diverse culture, we have so much to do that everyone will have a enjoyable holiday! Wine farms, Extreme sports, spas, shopping, game reserves, history, art. You name it, we got it!
