Have they tried T-cells? |
Have they tried adding t and b cells to cure aids yet. This may seem like a preety dumb question but im serious HIV doesn't infect B-cells. You can't just transfuse T-cells because they actually "learn" to recognize invaders into the body. For example an HIV patient who loses almost all their T-cells and then recovers because of treatment will have a lot of t-cells but they all know how to combat the same thing. If they lost all the t-cells to combat chicken pox virus - their immune system will react like they never had it even though their t-cell count is high. No, but they should. i dont understand it? They need to try each and every speck of whatever on the face of the earth to find a cure. AIDS infiltrates and kills T-cells by injecting its DNA inside, replicating itself and then destroying the T-cell as a result, so injecting more of them won't do much other than give the virus more factories to grow inside. |
