7. Actually, there are more people in the US with cancer, not AIDS. So, cure cancer. 1 Have you ever donated money to increase the amount of money you get on your tax return? No-I donate because I like the cause.
2 Have you ever donated money to a cause expecting some kind of gain or return? I just had taxes this year, so that hasn't been an issue.
3 Do you donate money to medical research causes that are close to you? (eg. You donate to Cure Cancer Foundation and your mom has cancer)
Heck yeah
4 Do you donate money only if you can 鈥渟pare鈥?it or 鈥渁fford鈥?it?
I can always spare at least change for a deserving collection jar.
5 Do you volunteer work willingly (not as punishment)?
Heck yeah-It's a huge boost in my life
6 Do you believe people can truly make a 鈥渃haritable鈥?donation where they can selflessly give away money to a good cause?
Yeah-If they do it without expecting to be rewarded or praised. Most people will praise the hell out of you and it makes you feel SO GOOD. So really, you get a self-esteem boost and make new friends (when you volunteer or something), proving that you directly benefited from your "self-less" act. So ,depending on how you look at it, it goes both ways.
7 Assuming you have cancer, which is the better cause (choose one):
I would be much more likely to support a charity that directly supports me, my family, or my friends. If I had cancer, I would be too exhausted to help both charities.
