What do you think of Huckabee wanting to quarintine those with AIDS?

I personally think it's BS. We should be finding a cure, not holding them hostage somewhere.

He's so close minded, what will separating those with AIDS from society do? What will that solve?
Well if you want to box off those with AIDS, then I guess he might want to do the same with mentally challenged individuals, cancer patients, etc.

It would prevent its spread if all were quarintined, maybe they could be placed on a remote island with no way to escape but live a nice life. They can even make a reality show out of it. i'd watch!

People with HIV and AIDS are usually very upset and don't disclose their condition and instead pass it on to many others. It makes sense to quarintine them. They were irrisponsible to get it in the first place by not using protection, and they are the type who end up irrisponsibly spreading it to others. One man went to jail for it.

Quarantining can also be of benefit especially to poor Africans - they could be fed and live in housing on the island, and build relations with American patients and all would grow internationally and personallly from the experience. It would also make someone think twice before engaging in risky behavior and eventually within a generation or two the epedemic would disappear.

Is Huckabee still an issue in this race. I would think he only said it out of ignorance. A lot of people had issues with people with Aids by thinking they could get it by breathing the same air. In the past America has quarantined people with certain contagious diseases.

I gather you hate Huckabee. that means that your opinion of him is taken off the table.

When AIDS was noticed by the general public and no one knew what it was HUCKABEE wanted to quarintine those with AIDS becuase there was not a lot of information on this and he didn't want the entire US and world to get infected and die. My initial thought you were a uniformed propagandist, so I researched your question. He did not exactly call for all out quarantine in a 1992 statement, however, judge for yourself with a Fox News Interview by Chris Wallace on the below link.

I thought this had already been done. I think they shipped them all to California. A place called San Francisco. I dont know I might be wrong but I try to stay away from there just incase a gay person accidentally touches me and infects me with that horrible disease.
