Can it clear HIV or AIDs from the blood system, you know, as a kind of prayer miracle from god?



And please don't bring homosexuality into this discussion as a religious excuse, there are many other reasons one can contract HIV.

I have seen cancer cured by prayer many times.
I have never seen HIV or aids cured by prayer,
but i have heard of it and with God anything is possible.

God can do all things. God does miracously cure all diseases on occassional. God would prefer that we work together using the God within us to care for each other. The flesh is just a fleating form and in itself has little importance. THe primary purpose is for us to understand what life is so we can embrace the concept of eternal life.

If prayer could cure cancer, who would ever get cancer? Nobody. Nobody would ever die from it, or anything else. Everybody would win the lottery, be beautiful, and live forever. If prayer works, it is only because God, or whoever controls the universe, has his or its own reason to do what you are asking for, otherwise, he or it is letting the universe unfold according to his or its own plans.

No, the most interesting question to ask is can the power of prayer convince god to heal amputees?

The answer to that one is NO.

God seems to have something against amputees, he has never in the entire history of xians praying for almost 2000 years ever regrown a limb. Think about it.....

Cancer is something we can't see...it is a hidden disease. Anyone can say they have cancer, and then say it is gone.
People lie
People can be mistaken or delusional
Cancer can be misdiagnosed.
Cancer can sometimes spontaneously regress
All of these hidden qualities also apply to HIV

A missing limb, however, is incontravertible....obvious. Can't be faked, or lied about, no mistake...hard to misdiagnose, and medical science knows for a fact missing limbs can't grow back....unless you are a salamander or a seastar. A regenerating limb would be an absolute miracle, strong evidence for the miraculous healing powers of an almighty god.

But guess what.....it has never happened.
And I will bet my life it never will happen.
So, either god hates amputees,
or maybe, just maybe....prayer is a mystical superstitious and entirely delusion belief, a form of magical thinking.

Yes, the Lord CAN cure AIDS, cancer, ADD, paralysis, deafness, and everything else that effects us here on Earth. And He wants to!

I feel the power of positive thinking/beliefs can help a lot toward curing any ailment the body is experiencing. This positive thinking can come in the form of prayer, meditation, or just simple well wishes.

And to answer your question, yes...cancer, AIDS, and any other ailment.
