No one knows for certain just who had the first case of AIDS. However, there are descriptions of patients who have immuno-deficiency illnesses as early as 1917; these immunodeficiency illnesses may have been early cases of AIDS. These cases were in the jungle areas of Uganda.

The origin of AIDS is unknown, but from research it is believed to be a crossover disease from apes. In the apes it may have been a minor illness like a cold, but crossover diseases are much more dangerous when they move to another species -- the new species has not adapted and developed partial immunities to the disease.

There is no cure for AIDS and never has been. The disease works by causing the body's own cells to attack itself and then using the body's own energy to create more viruses. This is very difficult to fight, because any medicine has to be very specific to fight the virus within the cell without hurting the cells. There are medicines that attempt to keep the viruses from being created; these can help the victim to recover a little but cannot eliminate the virus entirely. There is not cure.

It became widely spread because of the trade ships. In all truthfulness, the sailors of the trade ships helped the spread the disease. This is why you will find it in its highest concentration along the coasts of the Indian Ocean.

December 1 was chosen as World AIDS Day because the first case of AIDS was diagnosed on this day in 1981.

HIV is so widespread because it is easily contracted and evolves constantly. nobody knows exactly where it started, but the guy who introduced to the US was a French Canadian.

There is no cure for AIDS because it is an extremely intelligent virus and mutates/evolves so quickly that by the time a cure could be made the evolved virus would easily survive it.

So people say that at least technically green monkeys had it for thousands of years. There are personal diaries, informal documents and spoken accounts of some people showing symtoms in Zaire in the 1920's that (while the people are dead and there bodies unfindable) would probably lead phsycians today to diagnose them with AIDS., thereby suggesting the the HIV had been acquired by humans by that time. The earliest specifically-known case that has since been identified as AIDS. (because some of his body tissue was kept in storage), was that of David Carr of Birhangham, England in 1959, a year ot two after he had served in the British army in Tangiers (and probaly acquired the HIV from a prostitute while there). The syndrome itself was not recognized as a specific and unique condtion, named and given unique diagnostic criteria until it appeared in larged quantites in Now York City and San Francisco in 1981.

AIDS came from monkeys in Africa just like Bird Flu came from Birds in Far Eastern countries. People used to get bitten by infected Monkeys (AIDS is transfused via blood) therefore people became carriers. People have sex and reproduce. AIDS is transferred to other people. AIDS patients that are still under incubation period migrate to other countries. They have sex with foriegn people. AIDS is brought about those countries.

AIDS is increasing due to lack or education, famine, spread of disease etc. More than 6000 people are infected with HIV each day. Mainly in Africa ( less economically developed countries).

There is no "cure" for AIDS but there are medicines that inhibit its effect. Ofcoures countries like the USA and Brazil are fighting over these medical convenients due to political reasons. There is no cure for AIDS and scientists belive there is no cure for AIDS..
