Should we round up everyone with AIDS to keep people from spreading it.?

I say we should if we did this, the AIDS epidemic could be staved. The europeans did this when the black death hit. We can't do this in places like Africa but rouding them all up in the US and europe should work. They would be put in special prison hospitals where they should be kept away from regular people.

Anybody harboring a AIDS criminal shall be sentenced to at least 10 years in prison. The AIDS patient shall spend the rest of his life or until a cure is found in this prison hospital.

Keep AIDS people from Regular people bottom line.

To bad our leaders don't have the balls to do this.

Well, what about people with other communicable diseases? Why just AIDS? Why not pneumonia, bronchitis and the common cold as well?

That is a bit inhumane. However, I think that people who knowingly have AIDS yet continues to have unprotected sex should be tried and convicted of assault.

AIDS is a man-made disease created for population control.

the AIDS epidemic might be lessened for a while, but what will you do to prevent similar problems that occur spontaneously as a result from damaged DNA causing replication of other infectuous illnesses?

there will always be one more epidemic popping up as long as populations continue to become more dense, and medical science saves us from the last one.
while humans are allowed to live longer and evolve, so do the virulence factors of other living organisms.

how often do you see epidemics among endangered species? might see infections cause a large number to perish when their populations are large, but for the most part, the chances of acquiring a disease that cannot be dealt with by the immune system and passing it on, is greater with greater numbers in a population.

Then, considering how long it takes to actually detect AIDS, once infected, the person carrying it could have already passed it on.

Don't be an idiot. Stop having casual sex, avoid anal intercourse, stay away from intravenous drug use. Of course anyone who knowingly spreads AIDS should be charged with attempted murder and dealt with harshly. Are you ill? So, having AIDS means you are no longer afforded the rights of every other citizen in this country? Lets put them in hospital prisons where they are no longer contributing to society, that would only cost billions of dollars a year....sure lets do it.

While we are at it, lets make sure we don't forget to round up all the children who can't control the fact that they are born with HIV/Aids....I'm sure they will love that hospital prison. And the others who got it through a blood transfusion...man they must be pissed they went to the doctor that day. Now they have aids, and they are going to be incarcerated.

What upsets me beyond all get out is Lysol.
The Lysol spray commercial says viruses can live hours on a surface. The epidemiologists tell us, aids can only be spread by contact, so Lysol is lying.

Rounding up people and putting them in prison hospitals would be illegal and wrong even if it would work, which it wouldn't! The answer I believe is education and abstinence. Uninfected people have to be educated as to the risks of unprotected sex and the infected either have to abstain from sex or only have sex with other infected people. These ideas coupled with a heavy handed propaganda campaign to create a sense of nobility in the self sacrifice of abstinence and a stigma in the irresponsibility of willfully spreading disease we could eliminate STDs in a generation.
