Has prayer ever cured HIV/AIDS? It takes about 10 years for it to get you. Is 10 years of prayer not enough?

According to Christians god has more important things to do.

The best recent example I've heard was a guy getting his tax refund back earlier than he expected. He really needed the money to make his car payment so he prayed.

and people question me when I say that prayer doesn't work? ROTFLMAO!!!

Don't know of any but since this life is so short anyway I would bet that the life to come after death would be a lot better if one did pray.

Prayers don not cure anything. Seeking medical help does.

YES MA'AM!! A friend of mine, has a wife, who contracted the virus from a stick from a needle, while giving a shot. She was prayed over after the doctor told her she had contracted the virus, and she is NOW VERY WELL and WORKING!! Still going to CHURCH and LOVING God and Jesus and the Holy Ghost. But, remember, Matthew 5:45. The Rain was Meant To Fall On THe Just and The Unjust! Some God WILLS to be healed, and others, not. Just Trust Him until that final day.

Maybe if I pray ONE MORE TIME, it'll work!

Did you know that one Christian tried to explain to me how prayer works one time? It was hilarious - here's the three outcomes god can give you to answer your prayer:

"1. Yes!"
"2. Not now"
"3. No, but I have something better in store for you."

So the answers are yes, maybe later, and no. Yep, sounds like the realm of possibilities to me! God works in mysterious ways! Praise Jebus!

I have heard of cases that claim healing through prayer. I'm not sure how much prayer, but simple faith is all that is required. Christ said," ask and ye shall receive."

Yes, there have been people healed of aids through the prayer of faith.

even a fraction of a moments prayer is more than enough if it comes from the heart.prayer might not cure HIV but it cures hearts.Besides if its God's wish,who knows....

I believe prayer will and has changed the course of it, "for by Christ stripes we are healed", it's all about your belief. If you believe you receive (Matthew 7:7), so to ask; which is by prayer; to be healed, you can be healed. God is a turnaround God and he can heal a.s.a.p, if it's His will. But you must ask and never cease asking and believe. (Mark 11:23-24). Yes, He can heal and it may take ten years of prayer and w/ ten years of prayer it may be in you, but by God's grace you can be healed and you must repent and confess thru that prayer also. God has soooo much mercy and grace for you.....

check it out; there was this great prayer experiment "American Heart Journal" 151: 4, 2006, 934-42 Richard Dawkins quoted it in his "god delusion". (in a nut shell), the experiment found that those ill patients who people prayed for vs the ill patients that were not prayed for, had more deaths during their surgery. Sad, but quite comical actually.

The Bible tells us that God answers prayers. It does not say that he always answers them the way we want them to go. So we may not always get the answer we are looking for.

You think in very simple terms. God is more complex and knows infinitely more than you can image. Who are we to question His motives for how he answers prayers?

What we do know is that this life is temporary. Someday we will all die -- simple fact, easy to understand. Since God has given us the Bible to help direct our lives, are you ready to answer to God based on what the Bible tells us? There will be consequences for our decisions we make and actions we take while living on Earth.

though one may pray, prayer has never cured hivaids or anything else in this world. we seem to forget that the one that does the curing is GOD himself. we can worry the ears of God in prayer but it still is GOD that does the healing, not us or our prayers. that doesn't mean that we should stop praying though for we are instructed to pray form the WORD OF GOD.
