Does Diareah help aid the cure of Fever?

I have a bad fever for over 3 days and now I have diareah. Will this help?

No. Water...and lots of it...will help a fever. Diarrhea will make it harder for your body to regulate your temp by dehydrating you. Drink water and pedialyte, keep yourself cool when your fever spikes (even if it means taking cold shower/bath, ice packs, etc...). If your fever goes to/over 103-104, get to a Dr.

Take some Immodium for the diarrhea if you can because you need to drink sufficient amounts of water to help your body fight that fever.

EDIT: Gatorade is great for your electrolytes, but the sugar in it can make diarrhea worse. Until your diarrhea is cleared-up, drink pedialyte instead, or just add a pinch of salt in each glass of water you drink.

No. It will only further dehydrate you. Drink some gatorade to replenish the water and electrolytes you have lost. See a doctor to evaluate what sounds like a gastroenteritis. He will give you something to stop the diarrhea and reduce the fever.

no a fever means you have an infection. A fever is not a disease in itself. You are dehydrated from the fever and now you are loosing vital electrolytes from the diareah. You need to drink juice or water (preferably a 1/2 water 1/2 gatorade mix) to restore your electrolytes. Too much gatorade at once can overload your body, so do 1/2 and 1/2
