Although AIDS is at epidemic levels in Africa, it is a worldwide problem. The best scientific minds worldwide are searching for a cure, not just the U.S. AIDS is an equal-opportunity killer,it can effect anyone anywhere. It doesn't care about age, race, sexual preferences, or geography. Safe sex and not sharing needles are paramount in preventing the spread of this disease. I think there is a cure it want be out until 2010. i was watching Good Morning America an see it. And I also read like 2 article in the newspapers. I'm wondering if Insurance Company or Health Department is going to cover the cost of this "cure". Like someone mention about Magic Johnson he have alot of money. If they come out with this new vaccine will this be cover into the new health care plan that our so call "future president " are talking about.

That is completely not true at all. My mom has had the virus for the past 17 years and I know (from all of our training and classes) that there is not cure. We probably wont even see one in our lifetime, so unless there is definitive proof out there i would see that this is just a bunch of hocus pocus, because if it is not, there are a lot of families out there struggling for no reason, mine included!

Actually, there are at least two treatments/cures for AIDS, and possibly a third.
The first involves repeated use of a blood warmer device (usually used to save the lives of severe hypothermia victims).
The second--and not the best thing for your body--is to hyperoxygenate your blood several times.
The possible third is a treatment proposed by an MD in NYC; he claims to have cured AIDS several times; its been several years since I've seen him on TV.
The reason that these treatments are not used is because the first two, at least, would be cheap and effective; drug companies pushing anti-AIDS drugs, and those selling drugs to relieve the nasty symptoms of anti-AIDS drugs, pay big money to lawyers to prevent those treatments from becoming legal; therefore, they can keep selling their expensive medications.
You mistakenly think that Americans want people in other countries to die. While W and his lapdogs don't mind killing non-Christians, most Americans don't think like that. We want their to be plenty of living foreigners with money so that we can sell stuff to them. Thats why so many countries get free aid from the US now...so that eventually, they will have large populations of working people who can buy our cars, McDonald's food, books, tractors, tools, etc.
