Why is it difficult 2 discover cure for hiv/aids despite the advancement in technology. t? it infects the DNA in your t-cells. we've just recently completed the human genome, it'll be awhile before we figure out the protein coding of everything, so don't expect a "CURE" in the near future. they'll be able to delay the virus for longer and longer, but to completely CURE it, not for a long while. I think because the virus attacks the immune system in such a way that it is constantly replicating. Even the most powerful of the anti-retrovirals used as treatment for HIV only slow down the replication but cannot permanently stop it. Because HIV changes all the time. It never stays the same. There are alot of diseases that don't have a cure despite the advancement in technology.. the flu doesn't have a cure, the cold doesn't have a cure... the only cure for HIV/AIDS is prevention.. because it is a retrovirus, which means that it is constantly changing---it's not just one type of hiv that needs a vaccine, its hundreds or thousands. The common cold is also a retrovirus. It changes constantly, also why there has never been a cure for the common cold. Each time in your life that you catch a cold, you are actually catching a brand new virus, it just happens to always cause the same type of symptoms. Because it's a virus, just like the common cold. There's no cure for viruses. You can only treat the symptoms. because of mutations of the virus |

That would be great, there are lots of people that aren't junkies that have it. Do you think that people want others to suffer from a horrible disease? ...i have friend who is a grad student in plant pathology. he is crazy smart. man knows a lot. he once told me there is a cure and there are several people that he knows of to have cured themselves.... HIV/AIDS is caused by a virus. Viruses are hard to kill. Antibiotics don't work with them. The easiest way to cure a viral disease is to immunize people so that no one else gets the disease... Nope. If they did, somebody would have leaked it by now. Moreover, why would they expend the resources needed to develop a cure only to keep it a secret? ...Not true no, I have heard about so many cures in my lifetime, yet none have ever gained any attention. So in my opinion they are all false, or why would HIV still exist? ...Another interesting god conundrum. Why does an all-powerful god knowingly create flaws? It's the inability of the theists to satisfactorily answer questions of this nature that, ultimately... thats not true... American scientists are very limited to what they can use for studies. For example, Korean doctors can clone people but American doctors don't have the technology to do that.... thats not true- if u study the virus, you will relaise its not easy to cre it because of its mode of spread, and mode of infection- but theres somethign called malthucian theory- when the populatio... |
