Has there been a cure for the AIDS, and what is it?

There's a conspiracy theory that the cure for AIDS exists, but isn't as profitable as treatment so is being held onto-- which would, allegedly, explain the remarkable advances in AIDS treatments that's considerably prolonging the lives of those who've been diagnosed, even contributing to a generally accepted lack of fear of AIDS in the homosexual community because medical treatment has come such a long way.

The cure is to stay out of peoples butts.

No, so far there is no cure for any virus, not even the common cold. That's why education and prevention are so important.

There is no cure for AIDS, but there is treatment that can extend a person's life.

There's no cure, but we have things that can slow down the progression and let a person live longer. Many people are still living after 10-15 years, which is an improvment over the early cases.

No. The only cures that we have currently for virus type afflictions are vaccines and a successful one for AIDS has yet to be tested.

Actually, there IS a cure of sorts. But it amost always is as fatal as the disease. The body must be heated past the point that the AIDS virus can survive. This has been done in Europe, but, as I said, the death rate is almost total. The blood is heated externally and circulated through the body. This raises the overall body temp, killing the virus present in the tissues. Unfortunately, it also almost always invariably results in brain damage, and organ failture. This is WHY it's not touted as THE cure. Read this on yahoo, a BUNCH of years back. Do a search, it's probably still available to read.
