Is there a cure being hidden for AIDS?

I believe a lot of diseases have cures, though they will never be released as there is far more money in treating diseases than curing them and killing off continual medication gains

It can be argued that today AIDS can be reversed, but the patient will always have HIV (until there is a cure). Current drug therapies can reduce viral loads and improve cell count to the point where the patient no longer falls into the text-book AIDS definition.

And yes, the drugs are expensive and are required for life.

By extension it can be argued that Magic was cured of AIDS; he still carries HIV.
