Do you think there will be a cure for AIDS, Herpes or cancer in our lifetime?

Do you think there will be a cure for AIDS, Herpes or cancer in our lifetime?

No because I honestly think these diseases bring in too much money. (Dr.s and medications....) They also help keep population under control, sick as it may sound. So even if they did find a cure, it would probably not be made known.

I sure hope so...but then again...ppl wont care no more and start having even more sex than they all ready do...cuz there won't be anything to be scared of.

NO NO NO thats all i got to say is NO.

There will definitly be vaccines for AIDS and Herpes and more than likely a cure for cancer. I would say all of these things will happen in the next 25 years.

Certain cancers- yes, Herpes- maybe, AIDS- actually there is something that is being researched now that they think may cure AIDS but they are just starting to test it on animals now.

Lets start with Aids. It is a virus
Herpes is also a virus
The common cold is also a virus
Now what do we know about viruses? Well, we have no cure for them. Antibiotic do not work against anything viral, only bacterial.
Cancer is another story. Every human being has cancer cells in their body. There are over 100 types of cancers. Many can be cured, depending on many factors such as early detection and type, and many cannot. Some doctors can cure, but the average public does not have access to these cures.
So to sum up your question and your age, I would be hard pressed to say NO on a cure for Aids and Herpes, but Yes on curing many more types of cancers!

AIDS - I think it is more likely that there will be a vaccine developed so people don't get it. There are already vaccines in various stages of development. I think AIDS will go the way of Polio and other such diseases which have had vaccines created. Except in 3rd world countries these diseases are all but forgotten

Herpes - possibly. But more likely they will just treat it better

Cancer - there are so many different forms of cancer that i don't think there will be 1 cure. I think that the methods of early diagnosis and treatment will improve and that less people will die as a result

yes

Hope so.
