Are scientists any closer to developing a cure for AIDS?

Viruses are difficult because they mutate. We don't even have the cure for the flue because of the virus keeps changing.

When there are more survivors, our bodies will have more resistance like baboons. They are immune to this virus.

i dont think they will ever find a cure for aids, my dad has aids and his docter told us that the aids virus it not like a normal virus, when the medication is taken for so long the virus adapts to it and changes, so therefor the medication has to change, so i have no hope for a cure to be found. but, the medication is very effectfull on the virus, my dad has had ot for 10 years adn now he is undetectable, so i have more faith in the medication and a cure.

As scientists begin to understand more and more about the HIV (virus), yes, they are closer to developing a cure, but I don't expect that in the next 10 years.

Incompetence in the medical profession has helped the problem become what it has become. Yes a cure is a little bit closer. They could have been where they are now in AIDS research many years ago.

I think theres already a cure if you have the right amount of money. Take Magic Johnson for instance.
