Is there a possibility of a cure for AIDS within the next ten years what do you think?

i want your thoughts on this subject and facts from what you have read

It wouldn't surprise me if there is already a cure, but the pharmaceutical industry would resist its release as it would be a major blow to its fortunes. I mean, really, we can walk on the moon, clone human beings, etc., but there is still no cure for AIDs? It doesn't add up.

Actually about 10 years ago, a black women in Africa, did discover an anti-body to help cure the disease, but it was dismissed and no one has heard from her since. I wish I could remember her name to give you as a reference.

I don't think so. Maybe if we spent the money that we give to other countries specifically on that, then yes. but I just think the virus is so hard to track down that there really wouldn't be a way to cure it. I think we'll be able to lessen the symptoms, that's it

The government has had a cure for AIDS because they are the ones that put AIDS out there to reduce the population.

No, I think it is improbable that there will be a cure soon. The problem with AIDS is that every single person who has it has a slightly different form making it impossible to target and kill without killing the person as well. This is similar to the flu and why there is still not a cure for the flu.

I do think that there is a chance of a vaccine that might protect against the majority of cases.

Also, to those that believe a cure exists.....no amount of money in the world could keep the discovery of a cure secret because of the prestige that would accompany it. Think about it - nobody would take any amount of $$ to keep quiet if they could be revered as the person who cured AIDS.

It's a virus that keeps changing it's form and by the time a cure is found there are other types infecting people. Some people have reversed from HIV and some people seem to have an immunity to the virus. It is a disease that can be prevented if people followed some simple guide lines. I would hope a cure was invented, but it would not be necessary if people practiced a safer lifestyle now.
