Will the scientists ever find a cure for AIDS?

do u have any hope?

Worldwide, 33 million people are infected with HIV or have full-blown AIDS; 90 percent of them live in Africa, Asia and Latin America." This quote is from www.abcnews.com. Unfortunately, drugs that alleviate symptoms are far too expensive for AIDS patients to buy. Often patients are not even told that drugs that could help prolong their lives exist.

Symptoms of this disease begin as though one has a cold, and progressively worsens. Some early symptoms are: prolonged fatigue, a fever lasting over ten days, chills or sweating, mouth lesions, sore throat and cough. Some of the more extreme symptoms are: memory loss, decreasing mental function, joint pain, blurred, decreased, or lost vision, bone pain, or seizures.

Also, the AIDS virus mutates easily, so drugs must be administered in a full course or the disease could become more deadly to the patient. Some AIDS sufferers will do anything they can to get drugs for the virus. One man, Winston Zulu, got his drugs from a company in Europe. He could not finish the required course of treatments, and is now concerned that if he were to start them again, he may be immune to the drug.

Some of the groups that are affected heavily by the virus are homosexual or bisexual men and intravenous drug users. Mainly, HIV is passed on in two ways. One is through sexual intercourse. The other is through the blood of infected people.

The vine Aucistrocladus Koropensis, found in the Amazon Rainforest, is very effective in treating AIDS. You can read a site on this at:

Two years ago, Dr. Gary R. Davis applied for FDA approval of a drug he was working on. His drug proved to be very effective, however, he did not receive approval.

We are greatly concerned for the safety, health, and well being of our families and friends. Therefore, we implore you to try harder to research a cure for this debilitating disease. The quicker a cure for AIDS is found, the fewer people will suffer and die from it.
So yes maybe soon

yah condoms no oral,, and protection

That's second on my list. I'm working on finding a cure for cancer first.
And I do have hope that someone will find a cure for AIDS. Within the next 20 years there will be a cure for AIDS.

I have been HIV+ for 5 years.

Personally, I think the only cure is death - the virus is forever changing.

10 years ago, people only lived for a few years and now they're living for 20+ years - even longer. I will continue to take my meds and enjoy my life but I won't be holding my breath for a cure.

Why should I worry about whether or not they're going to find a cure? It's a none fact that happiness is the best medicine.
