Will we ever get a cure for AIDS?

There is just way to much money being made to let a cure be found.

Companies are making $1000 a month for every person using HIV meds and sometimes more...

possibly, but you need to know that viruses can mutate ever so slightly, and that mutation can affect any curretn treatment that we have engineered. think of HIV as the common cold in a general sense of the word. the virus changes frequently and that is the reason that flu shots are given every year.

No. Aids will become like the common cold, a very profittable desease for the drug companies. There is therefor, no reason to find a cure.

Of course, we will get a cure for aids. The bad thing is when we do get that cure, another disease will come that we have to start getting a cure for. There will always be something to get a cure for and if we or our family are involved with the illness, we feel more urgent need than others. That is only natural. The best thing right now is to stay mentally strong and do what ever we can to make the rest of the days of those with terminal illness enjoyable. Its sad, but do you know that some sick people have the best goodbyes? The healthy ones that die in car accidents didn't have a chance to be treated nicely like those sick ones. Funny how live is, we all have some sort of burden to carry. We just have to learn to live with it the best way we know how.

technically speaking, the drugs that are out there work, but the side effects are what are so debilitating. You have to be a very strong individual with a lot of money in order to cope with the side effects. Look at Magic Johnson, he can pay for it and with stand the side effects and he's been diagnosed for 15 years and hasn't died yet as opposed to those that might make it to 10.

i think the only way for a cure is if someone high in govt. gets it, then they will spend the money and the time to find the cure!

i think there is a cure they're just not tellin' us 'bout it cuz of the world population
to many women over do it with having kids it's like they can't stop if it weren't 4 them people wouldn't be diein' from aid every day so blame the people with 4 or more kids

That's what everybody hopes for. Depends how much effort and money the governments put to it. And also how much people want to learn about protecting themselves and preventing the infection

A cure for AIDS has not been a priority for the medical profession.
