No. But there are strong anti-retroviral drugs that help control it and that add countless years to the lives of people with AIDS. The drugs also stop the disease from spreading to infants living in mothers with AIDS.
though there is no cure, they found a group of prostitutes in Africa who were immune and created a simple vaccine from a protein found in their blood. It was given to people however it cannot be tested safely to find out if it works and thus it is not known if it works or not.
*NOTE: you will get LOADS of conspiracy theories from lots of whackos out there. There is more money to be made in CURING the people because of the millions people walking around with it out there. AIDS will not die out just because they find a cure. They have found a cure for syphillis, and guess what, it's STILL out there.

The government is never going to find a cure, because the pharmacetical companies want to continue making billions off the drugs that treat it. I believe there is a cure for all diseases, but the powers that be, prevent it from comming forth.... very sad!!!!

No there is not, there are better drugs to boost the immune system to ward off infections and opportunistic infections.

No. But there is a medicine to help people with HIV. It helps HIV from turning into full blown AIDS.

They are working on a vaccine but we are years from it.
We only have a few antiviral meds out there (for herpes and some staff infections) and they will not just get rid of HIV.
At this point we are just helping the immune system out.

No, but the answer lies in the science of immunology and cell biology, may be more work on programmed cell death will cure both AIDS and cancer.

I really believe there is ! But u would have many researchers,doctors,drug makers unemployed.Its' all about the mighty dollar ! !

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and i can tell you that there is a cure for aids but it's not yet been manufactured. i recently visited DOMINICA an island in the Caribbean. It's in a rain forest which is protected by the 'world heritage foundation this forest there is a plant(i cannot give you the name for legal reasons)which has now been found to cure aids. The company that will develop it is in Germany.Also, the plant Echinacea is also a potential cure.
