Is the only cure for aids is for us to have safe sex and stop the contamination?

Well there's technically no Cure for AIDS yet, which is why it's such a big concern for the WHO and for countries wanting to stop its spread.

And while it can be spread by unsafe sex, it can also be transmitted by dirty needles, like those who use drugs. Also watch out for places like tattoo parlors, accupunture shops and other places that use needles... make sure they practice sanitary measures, like throwing out used needles.

i think its better to not have sex with anybody with aids at all. That way you are 100% sure you wont get it from them, also it will stop the spreading of the disease too.

There is no cure for AIDS. The way to prevent HIV which leads to AIDS is have no sex or sex with a partner that has been tested not to have the disease.And sometimes the tests are not accurate and it takes over 3 months to detect that you have contracted the disease.

There is no known cure as of yet for hiv the virus that causes Aids. The key is education, research funding and finding a cure . In the meantime we have to prevent the spread of this virus. It is not only spread via sexual contact but by blood and body fluids that have been contaminated. Certainly if you come into close contact with someone even with full blown aids this does not mean that you will "catch" it. There has to be an introduction/exchange of that persons body fluids . It is not so easily done. It is common sense.
Sharing needles for street drugs is another way of transferring the virus from one person to another. If everyone just gets smart about this disease we can rid ourselves of it. It knows no boundaries rich,poor,gay,straight clean,dirty,young and old. It is ruthless. Education ,education ,education. one thing it is not but was at one time deemed to be is a homosexual disease.
