How can they find a cure for AIDS, Cancer Etc if they cant even find a cure for the common cold?

The common cold last 5-10 days, and doesn't kill you!
There is too much money in over the counter drugs...the drug companies that sell all the cold meds would never allow a cure for the common cold!!!

$$$ it's all about kleenex, and over the counter drugs.

You know that they could've had a cure for the common cold a long time ago!

We give our pets shots, and boosters so they don't catch things from one another!!
*IT SEEMS LIKE THEY WOULD WANT TO CURE THE COMMON COLD!!!
but NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Then all those products would just sit on the shelves in the stores.

Don't be judgemental, try to find it on your own, it's not that easy, believe me.

Well AIDS is primarily caused by one virus, the HIV virus..the common cold has thousands of virus which cause cold like symptoms, thus it will be very difficult to manufacture a vacine that covers them all.

there is no cure for AIDS or cancer.

Cancer is not one disease, but a group of disease. If I find aa cure of Melanoma, that doesn't mean I found a cure for breast cancer. Aids is in the same boat aa Cold. Both are highly mutagenic virus. They change often, so if we find a cure of one strain, it would mutate so that cure might not work with the new strain. Its a lot more complicated tha I explained though. THe think is to target a stavle part of the virus. AIDS will most likely be resolved before cold. Frankly AIDS is far more serious and there is a lot more money invested in AIDS research.

I think they would do better to concentrate on the less life threatening illnesses that plague our lives.

I know the cure for the common cold and they probably do to, but remember they want to make lots of money off people's misery.

then depending on what type of cancer you have

they do not want to find cures because then they will not make money on the drugs.

A great deal of research is conducted on life-threatening issues. The common cold is not a life-threatening issue. Colds are an annoyance, but certainly won't lead to death.
