If God answers prayers, why don't tacos cure AIDS?

Simple- - - YOU are the one that prayed. Thats like trying to turn on a lamp while it's unplugged. You're not "connected" so they're no communication. Besides, that would be a foolish prayer. In reality, God needs nothing to be able to heal aids or anything. He has chosen doctors and medicine, but He can just "do it" without any external influence other than faith.

How do you know tacos don't cure AIDS? Who did the studies?
I eat a lot of tacos, and I don't have AIDS, so they at least prevent the disease.

Obviously you aren't praying hard enough. You should pray that tacos will cure AIDS and then it will probably happen.

Alternative answer: Because there is nothing in a taco that helps to cure AIDS.

I'm guessing you don't believe in God because He never answered your prayers, or maybe you never did, but maybe He doesn't always answer our prayers because we're asking for the wrong thing, or it could be that His answer is simply 'NO'

And how exactly do you know that it doesn't? Have you ever tried to liquify a taco and inject it into an AIDS patient?

I assume you are an atheists...don't you have this little thing that you say that requires evidence for everything? If so....lets see some IV bags full of tacos before you make this claim.

Tacos do what they're supposed to do--give you something to eat when you're hungry. And if they've got the right stuff on 'em they can even be healthy.

I heard a guy preaching talking about how God answers prayers but not always in the way we THINK he does.

We ask for a lot of stuff which isn't good for us. The analogy the speaker gave was.. When he was 10, he prayed REALLY hard for a chainsaw.. "think of all the work I could get done with a chainsaw!"..but he never ended up getting a chainsaw.

Another thing is that try to conform God to OUR timeframe -- not his.

Also we can't actually see the future, so we THINK we know what is good for us, when maybe something else, something we haven't even experienced yet is BETTER.

Also we don't know the FULL consequences of our actions. We know SOME but not all.. to know ALL the consequences would be to know the future.

So, to answer your question.. MAYBE there is another reason that Tacos DON'T cure AIDS..maybe it LOOKS good on the surface..but God knows that it's not the most ideal solution. -- I mean, I admit, it sounds good to me tooo.. so I can't tell you what it is.. it takes FAITH to realinquish that control and just have faith.

I know if you don't have sex before or outside of wedlock, then AIDS would be much less prevalent and we probably wouldn't be praying for a cure to this worldwide plague.
