Could not blood tansfusions cure aids? Or Why not?

well thats part of the problem, but more of the problem is that as soon as u 'trasfuse' blood it come in contact infected blood, so the processes of transfusion would infect the clean blood, a possiblity however is a T-cell transfusion of human t-cells which are resistant to hiv, approximately 14% of sweeds (yep that right ppl from sweeden) have this t-cell which also happens to be resistant to the E-bola virus as well. i just dont know how feasable a transfusion of them would be.

No, The organism that causes AIDS is HIV virus. It spreads throughout whole body, not only Blood. So Blood transfusion wouldn't cure AIDS. Antiviral Medications are available to suppress the disease progression.

I would think for that to work ALL of the blood would have to be taken out of the person's body to fully get rid of the virus- that is impossible as it would kill a person

Unfortunately this wouldn't work. Only a small amount of HIV is needed to get the disease, so "changing out" most of a patients blood would still leave some of the virus. Not only that, but HIV is also in other bodily fluids and not just the blood. Hope that helped a bit :)

You GET aids with a blood transfusion not a CURE

Transfusions give fresh cells from outside but Aids has virus in all the T lymphocytes hiding places and getting an infusion will not cure it
