Last choice to make before death: a cure for AIDS or finding happiness.?

If you were given an opportunity to cheat death which would you chose world peace or a cure for AIDS?

It seems there are three choices here... world peace, happiness or the cure for AIDS.

World peace is not really desirable. It would be nice to end wars, but even if the world was void of all violence, it still wouldn't be peaceful. For every person/group of people who believe(s) in and stand(s) for something, there is someone else who stands for the oppisite. We need that. If no one disagreed with me, then what purpose would I have? What would happen to beautiful if there was no ugly?

So I wouldn't go for World Peace. If I were to choose finding happiness (which I assume is for myself) over a cure for AIDS it would be the most selfish move of my life.

Naturally, I would choose a cure for AIDS. That way the world would still have it's balance of positive and negative, but maybe some children in Africa could grow up and live life. Maybe a couple wouldn't be seperated in a painful and slow way. No one would have to watch a love one die like that again.

Cure for AIDS. Definitely!

Unhappiness is a much more widespread affliction than AIDS.

Cure for AIDs. World peace would only last a few minutes, and then someone would find something to fight about.

None of the above. Yes I may sound like a bastard but here goes: AIDs was put here by divine intervention (or nature, whichever you choose to believe). It is a very selective ailment and only afflicts those of promiscuous and destructive lifestyles: homosexuals and IV drug users, by and large. It is also 100% preventable and aside from a few holdout African countries, everyone knows how to prevent it. Hence AIDs was put here to take care of the people who engage in those behaviors.

Finding happiness: we weren't put here to be happy 100% of the time. In fact modern people who act depressed have no real context on happiness. If you look at a photograph from 100 years ago the people really do look unhappy, and for good reason: they weren't even getting enough calories to sustain life for a long period of time. That is unhappiness.

The modern day equivalent of unhappiness pales in comparison and is really a reflection of them having a poor outlook on life. We are animals and so long as we're getting enough food and water to sustain ourselves, there is no reason behind depression other than defective mental processes.

cure AIDS. It would help billions of people, and fiding happiness would only effect you, and wouldn't making billions of people happy also make you happy?
