Do you ever see a cure for AIDS being discovered?

Science has made tremendous progress in the fields of microbiology and immunizations, as well as learning ways of finding/locating the genes that cause corruption in DNA strands and so forth. However with all this progress, there are still many diseases who鈥檚 cures still evade us. One being AIDS. Do you think will we ever discover a safe, usable cure - or sadly do you think AIDS will forever be defined as incurable.

If all people just have monogamous opposite sex relationships and stop having pervert sex, then all Aids will go away.

There is a cure, but its been banned. Think of how much less the world would have to focus on if AIDS were cured. Its really sad, but I hope they will allow the cure soon. Its rediculous.

I see it happening because our technology is growing.I'd say in the next 20-40 years they will find a cure

there already is a cure for aids and the government doesnt want anybody finding out about it because all the drugs companys would run out of business if there drugs werent being used.....there is a cure for everything.....aids, cancer, STDs...i would by this book called natural cures by kevin (trudeau)< i dont know if that is how he spells it...but it is all really interesting!!

I think its just like a scam to get all our money and if they finally do make a cure for all those poor people then youll have to keep buying the pills for 8 fraking years so they can make a profit thets how blood thirsty some are they can all rot there are some good people but most are not so the ones who are not can rot and learn how to get money the clean way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... and the first guy is well somewhat right or through them on a island until they die out with no way to gt back to wherever the people without out it are

I think this research is going to chug along for a long time.
So many news releases about new findings, new methods, new options, but alas, no cure.

I think with wisdom and alot of help from GOD . We need to teach
todays youth and young adults to practice safe sex along with
safe practices of any kind of drug use it can be brought under control and can be stopped. Having had a family member die of
aids related illness, I pray that they will.

NO, there is a way to cure AIDS and almost any other disease.

It lies in the field of genetic research where a nano-virus is constructed that can target a unique gene sequence that is present in the AIDS and HIV virus, and prevent it from multiplying or taking affect.

A nano-virus is similar to a nano-machine, so called because the scale that we are taking about is on the molecular scale. Nano-machines are machines that are predicted to be able to perform near miraculous actions by directly manipulating the very atoms themselves. A nano-virus would be the biological equivalent of a nano-machine.

Currently we have made targeted genetics that use a retrovirus (man made virus) to attack a specific genetic code. We are in the early stages of this research though and have not developed anything on a practical scale yet.

Currently the best we have in nano-machines is something like carbon nano-strands. Carbon can form extremely hard bonds; like diamonds. Carbon also likes to form geometric shapes and a ring of carbon atoms forms the basis for most organic chemistry. Carbon Nano-fibers are incredibly tiny and tough. A strand as thin as your hair would be as strong as a 1/2" steel cable. Just last year scientists developed a method of combining the carbon nano-fibers into one long strand.

As far as calculating nano-machines go, I think the most advanced one developed is an abacus that is manipulated with a scanning tunneling electron microscope.

We are a far way from creating nano-viruses and nano-machines that can fight AIDS or HIV, but we know what we need to do, and we are learning how. So within the next ten to fifty years we could have a cure, assuming that there are no major obstacles in our way.

Carbon Nano-fibers have been proposed for use in the Space Elevator (an Elevator that lifts a load to an asteroid in a low Earth Orbit), but the fibers may be too brittle. Creating a cable is simple, creating a virus that won't hurt any other cells except for those in AIDS and HIV is harder.

Anyone who believes that there is a cure for AIDS that is being kept a secret doesn鈥檛 understand human nature. One very true saying is, 鈥淭wo people can keep a secret, if one of them is dead.鈥? A few people might be able to keep such an important discover secret, of course they would have to kill the scientist that discovered the cure because they would want to publish their findings and get a Nobel Prize. They would also have to kill the marketing department because they would make a huge profit in Africa. As it is they can鈥檛 give the complex prevention drugs away because they have to be taken on a rigid time schedule and most of the infected people don鈥檛 even have a clock. So they can鈥檛 take the prevention cocktail. Conspiracy theories always fail for one simple reason; human nature. If something happens then people want to gossip about it. If something major happens than people want to profit from it. Imagine the amount of money a tabloid or any newspaper would pay to find proof for aliens, or proof for the carburetor that runs on water, or proof that any of these conspiracies are wrong.

Look at the Nighthawk, the Stealth Plane. It was kept under wraps for years; the employees were flown in and out each day, the government totally denied the base even existed. The security was perfect, except for the UFO observers that clocked each and every flight.

Finally, the Hippocratic Oath would prevent any doctor from keeping a cure for AIDS secret. Few doctors spend all that time and energy in Medical School for the money. A business degree is much easier and there are other ways to get the money. Fresh lawyers get paid more than fresh doctors. There are several dozen ways to make more money than by being a doctor. Doctors may not all appear to be compassionate, but that is only because of the huge pressure on them. If a doctor found a cure to AIDS then he would be obligated to reveal it, which means all the doctors involved in the research would have to be killed as well. These kind of deaths of important and high profile people with families and friends just can鈥檛 be carried off that easily. Then the business men wouldn鈥檛 be able to do the actual killing themselves so they would have to hire contract killers, to perform all those murders. Then they would have to be 鈥渟ilenced.鈥? The more you bend the facts to fit a conspiracy theory the more people get involved and the harder it becomes.

Sadly, it would not be profitable to just cure AIDS. To my knowledge, a cure was already develovped, but will probably never be used. the drug companies want a drug that will treat AIDS like how diabetes is treated. They want a treatment where people will pay for the rest of their lives.
