A cure for aids?!?

I heard there is a cure for aids. I also heard that a man named Dr. Kazikstein discovered it on January 6, 2008!!
BUT, the government threatened to put him in jail if he released it.
Is this REALLY true??! Is it FINALLY a cure for aids?
because that way we'll have fewer people dying. And i also think that cure will cost lots of money.

This is most likely a fake. Aids can't really be cured because the way it attacks the body is that it "confuses" the white blood cells to think it is not a virus and it attaches itself to them and then it eats on the protien of the white blood cells and other cells. As it contiues to grow it begins to distroy the cells and create more of the aids virus and they move on to the next and they slowly take over the body, and by this time the white blood cells don't know what to do, so that is why someone dies from something like a common cold. This doctor guy could not have found a cure for Aids because no one knows howto actually stop them.

The only lead we can go off of is that some people are "immune" to aids just like Cats have a type of aids. The people we know that are sort of immune to it are people in england and France because they have ha d the bubonic plauge which created a gene in the survivors that give them special immunities. Like how bacteria cells can become imune to clorox bleach whipes and stuff like that, certian people are like that where they have a protective coat in their immune system. We discovered that Cats have a type of aids also that they are immune to because in cat histroy they also had a type of "bubonic" plauge. We don't understand fully yet why cats are immune, and people are not so we have to do more investigations about it. Even though we have "immune" people it can still effect them unlike cats.

This Kazikstein guy wouldn't have found a cure let alone the the governement turning it down and saying they would throw him in jail. If he had found a cure he would need to have found out what makes immunities and how to stop aids from fighting the so called cure. Aids and a cure is an arms race and currently we are losing it. The cure would cost a lot of money like you said because it is new technology and medicine but you can be safe in not beliving the sources you got this information from. I think it was a government concperies article you were reading.

This is false. AIDS is a virus, and there have been several discoveries which have been able to prevent one strain of AIDS but the virus constantly mutates, so no, this is untrue. There is no "one" cure for aids.

If there is ever a cure for the virus, or for the prevention of HIV, it will be extremely expensive.

Not really though in the early stages in particular a very strong laxitive helps.......

There isn't a cure for any virus. There are medicines that can relieve the symptons for a virus, but nothing can cure one. As for AIDS -- no there is no cure. This is bologna! :) There are medicines that can slow down the process of HIV growing towards AIDS, and it slows down how fast AIDS attacks your T Cells, but there isn't a cure. Just medicines to relieve symptoms and slow the process. AIDS, however, isn't what will kill you. After the AIDS attack your T cells, your immune system becomes weak, and you die from something like a common cold. There's not any way to cure it. I doubt there ever will be.

It's impossible to cure because what AIDS does is enters the cells in your body and basically re-writes the DNA code. I doubt this Kazikstein guy has found a way to RE-re-write everything. And besides, doesn't his name just SOUND phoney?

Please don't believe the rumors and false stories. Scientists have been researching HIV for years...and could still be years away from a cure. Treatments have changed (with the introduction of the triple cocktail) and have become more effective in fighting the virus but can only reduce the viral load...NOT eliminate it.

As for Lesa's response, she is wrong. What she is referring to is prophylactic treatment...that after a possible exposure, taking the triple cocktail for set period of time MAY prevent the HIV virus from developing. This is common practice for healthcare workers that have had an exposure to a high-risk patient. It is NOT known if taking the cocktail as a preventive will definitely prevent a person from developing HIV, if they were indeed directly exposed to it.

I was raped a few years ago and the Dr told after I took meds for the std that there a shot for HIV it just for rape victims right now..but it makes you so sick ,I didn't get cause she said more then likey he didn't have it.I tested -...so there is a vaccine.

There is not a vaccine nor a cure, be careful of what you read, as most of it is not fact. The shot or medications referred to is a high doses of some of the medications used to control HIV, and when given early can prevent the HIV from taking hold of other cells, but it is not a cure nor a vaccine, and it is possible in a one time event a person will not become infected in the first place. It is a one time only thing, it will not prevent you from becoming infected from another exposure later in life. It can be given to health care workers, or rape victims in the hopes of preventing infection, but it is very costly.
