Since hiv/aids in a new disease..sure we don't have a cure, but shouldn't we have it in the next 20/30 years?? |
and if your viral load remains undetectable, doesn't that mean hiv cant turn into aids? Ditto to #1. AIDS is nothing new. It's not black-plague-old but it isn't new either. If you look at how long cancer has been around, I won't hold hopes that we will have a cure for HIV soon. I love the idea, but I must be realistic. The best way to eliminate viruses is to vaccinate against them. Chronic viral infections are generally incurable. Due to HIV's mutagenic nature, current methods of developing vaccines are incapable of combating this. Maybe in the next 20-30 years someone will find a way to vaccinate against it. |
