How do I know if my money gets to an organization?

I usually buy things that donate a portion of my money to find a cure for cancer or AIDS or other diseases. How do I know if my money is getting to the organization or if the company is keeping it all?

You can look up their financial records to see what portion they actually donate to charity. A better idea is to donate to your local grass roots AIDS charity locally. They usually do not have the funds to advertise and are in real need of your help. Take it one step further and donate your time to them directly in you free time. Once you meet your local people, you will find a lot more ways to make a difference. I have done it for fifteen years. You will never regret helping your fellow man.
